USA Today shared earlier today the first images for upcoming Tim Burton’s Big Eyes, and a nice interview with Christoph Waltz and producer Lynette Howell about Walter Keane.
“Walter starts out as a sane, rational, charming individual. But at the end of the movie, he has become completely delusional,” says producer Lynette Howell. “He takes on a whole other level of madness. I don’t know a lot of actors who could play that character and that journey.”
Two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz nailed it in Big Eyes, Howell says, portraying a man who took credit for the famous big-eyed waif paintings by his wife, Margaret (Amy Adams).
“You have to understand that Margaret fell in love with this man. He charmed the pants off her. Walter was incredibly charming,” says Howell. “And that’s something Christoph has in spades. That’s why his characters are so complex.”
“Big Eyes” opens on Christmas Day.

I have added in our video archive an interview Amy did to Access Hollywood while arriving for the Max Mara dinner last wednesday. Amy explained why did she she gave up her first-class seat on a flight to a U.S. soldier:
I think that if we were paying attention to the soldier right now, maybe more people would do it? I feel like a lot of attention has been paid to me, and I’m grateful that people are latching onto a positive story, but the whole point was to draw attention to the soldier. So I wish more people were paying attention to him right now. Or to them.
She also chat a little bit about being on set for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”:
Everyone there is super yoked, so I feel, you know, not the pressure – because they’re very accepting of all body types. But, you know, everyone looks so great. They’re all in such great shape, so I think it started with the last time I did [Lois Lane], I haven’t stopped working out since. I love it.
Head over to our video archive to watch it.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
